AWANA is a local church sponsored organization for boys and girls from ages 3 to the 6th grade.
The AWANA clubs ministry at East Brandywine Baptist Church is an evangelistic and training outreach to the community.
The AWANA clubs start promptly at 6:30 PM Wednesday
nights during the school year. The ministry goals and desires are achieved in the following manner:
- By proclaiming the Gospel of Christ on club nights
- By steadfast prayer for clubbers and leaders
- By encouraging clubbers to progress weekly in their Awana handbooks which contain reading, memorization, and comprehension of Bible verses
- By developing relationships between other clubbers and leaders of the club
- By teaching good sportsmanship and team work during game time
- And by instilling in clubbers a sense of citizenship and civil duty as a God ordained responsibility
