Vision 2015: Worshiping God – Reaching Others – Growing Together

A Year of Transformation
To steal a famous opening line…it was the best of times and the worst of times!

Our church is traveling through a season of transformation made possible by crisis.  Our crisis was  the loss of two pastors in 2013.  In Romans 8:28 God promises to work all things together for good for those that love Him.

From our crisis has come the persuet of Vision 2015, a one-year strateagic plan to become a healthier, stronger church!  We are anticipation great good to result from the journy that God has us on!

For God’s kids in every trail, difficulty, tragedy and crisis He well be there and He will use it for good!

In this the theology of suffering is demonstrated.

Because of mankind’s sin there is sickness, pain and death in this world.  God has guaranteed that “in this world you will have trouble” (John 16:33).  A sin filled world is to blame for the suffering we face. Just in the last few days EBBC family members have faced heart attacks, a stroke and cancer.

By God’s amazing grace we can have life and have it more abundantly!  It is by that grace God walks with us through pain, sickness, disaster and even crisis and uses it for unbelievable good.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” – James 1:2-4

Crisis leads to transformation.  May God finish His work in our lives and in our church!

  • Don’t loose heart - find hope
  • Don’t give up - give more
  • Don’t drop into dread – dare to dream
  • Don’t resist change - embrace transformation
  • Gods’ Got this!
