More Power than a Vote
5/4/2016 12:00:01 AM by: PJ

Voting is a right and responsibility many have died to protect.  The power of the vote causes presidents and billionaires to rise and fall.  We should never neglect the opportunity for our voices to be heard.

But when “the people have spoken” it seems as if my voice gets drowned out.  After all a vote is only one mark in a sea of ink, one chad in a forest of paper, one note in a symphony of sound.

There is a more powerful way for you voice to be heard.  It is a right and responsibility many have died to protect.  It has the power to cause kingdoms and empires rise and fall.  Yet we neglect the ever present opportunity for our voices be heard.

Prayer gives unlimited, constant access to throne room of the King of Kings, to the power of the Creator of the Universe and to the heart of the Savior of the World.
No need to fret.  God’s got this!

O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!
-- Joseph M. Scriven

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”

 Mark 10:27

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. Ephesians 3:20
